A Little Meyer Time

While we were Up North, we got lucky enough to be up the same time as some of the Meyer’s. My Uncle John and Jean have a fantastic set of cabins that they’ve had on Lake Laura that have been in Jean’s family for over 50 years. I have to say it is quite beautiful, and the lake is so clean I’m always excited to swim every time we go, not to mention the delicious gin and tonics that accompany the ride. My cousin Johnny, his wife Marjan and kids were also there, we love them to pieces so it was fun to see how big the kiddos got.

We got all of the older kids to jump in the lake with a bit of coaxing, and man, was it refreshing to get a swim in. After a good swim and a nice boat cruise, we went back and had a great dinner - it was fun having the bean salad, which brings back memories of being a kid. I will try to get the recipe from him to share with everyone.
